Material Selection:

For this project, we chose 0.5mm 316 stainless steel for its excellent corrosion resistance, making it perfect for marine applications. This material ensures that the control panel can withstand harsh marine environments, including exposure to saltwater.

Laser Cutting of Stainless Steel:

We employ state-of-the-art laser cutting technology to precisely cut the stainless steel foil into the desired shapes and sizes. Laser cutting allows for intricate detailing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every panel.

Stencilled Lettering:

Our expertise in laser cutting enables us to create stencilled lettering on the stainless steel. This precise cutting gives a sleek and professional appearance to the control panel, making it easy to read and use in various lighting conditions.

Micromachined Perspex Backing:

To enhance the panel’s overall design and functionality, we use micromachining techniques to create a perspex backing with recesses to accommodate the laser-cut stainless steel pieces. The perspex backing serves as a protective layer for the electronics, keeping them safe from external elements.

Contrasting Aesthetics:

The combination of stainless steel and micromachined Perspex creates a visually striking contrast, making the stencilled lettering stand out prominently. This design choice not only adds an appealing aesthetic touch but also ensures optimal visibility and usability during operation.
